Projects

In addition to looking after our members and their individual needs and interests, MIASA has larger projects which aim to promote industry growth and address the blockages that hinder us. The accreditation and builders plate is one such project which intends professionalising the small craft production sector, building consumer confidence and ensuring our global competitiveness is improved.  Other projects such as government liaison and engagement are on-going and these include attending the DoT Small Craft Advisory Committee meetings, engaging with provincial and national government departments. Spear heading our industry and helping government to understand the nuances and specific needs generated by our industry is a continuing conversation we must have with our partners. Skills development continues to be a priority focus area for MIASA as well as our efforts to get more people into boating as a lifestyle, recreational and sporting choice.
